Powder Room Refresh & Smooth-Wall Transformation — Huntersville, NC

Problem: The homeowner was frustrated with a dark, dated downstairs powder bath. The main challenge was a heavy "sand" texture paint applied to both the walls and the ceiling, which made the room feel cramped and was nearly impossible to clean or repaint. 

Solution: Rather than the messy and labor-intensive process of scraping the old paint or tearing out the drywall, we engineered a cleaner, more efficient solution. We performed a full skim coat of the bathroom using a fast-setting drywall compound, creating a perfectly smooth "Level 5" finish with minimal dust. With a clean slate, we applied a fresh color palette, laid new floor tile, and installed a modern vanity, light fixture, mirror, and new baseboards. 

Result: By thinking outside the box with the skim-coating technique, we provided a complete aesthetic transformation without the cost of a full gut demo. The result is a bright, modern, and high-end space that demonstrates our "Step Above" commitment to efficient, high-quality home improvements.
