Shiplap Fireplace & Faux Mantle — Huntersville, NC

Problem: The homeowner was tired of their dated, "builder-grade" fluted leg fireplace mantle, which lacked character and didn't match their vision for a modern, updated living space. 

Solution: We performed a full teardown of the existing mantle and patched the underlying drywall. To create a more substantial focal point, we engineered and framed a new faux wall around the fireplace box. We then installed shiplap over the new structure, ensuring a clean, modern aesthetic. To complete the transformation, we installed a faux wood mantle that provides the warm look of solid timber without the excessive weight. 

Result: This project demonstrates our ability to completely redefine a room's focal point. By combining structural reframing with high-end finish carpentry, we delivered a "Step Above" centerpiece that is both architecturally sound and visually stunning.
